Iain will take up the role in January and takes over from Paul Hurst who will retire at the end of 2024 after 28 years at Persimmon.

In addition to his current role at Sage Homes, Iain has been CEO of Countryside and managing director of Crest Nicholson.

“Iain has significant breadth and depth of experience, including as CEO of Countryside and will complement our existing senior management team,” said Dean Finch, group CEO at Persimmon.

Reflecting on his new appointment, Iain said: “I am delighted to be joining Persimmon in January and working alongside the strong team already in place.
